I have XP Pro SP2.
I normally leave my machine on for weeks on end without a restart but on the odd occasion all the icons disappear from my desktop and all sub directories and folders ... the icon names remain.
This is quite easily fixed with a restart and isn't a big issue TBH. I'm wondering whether anyone else has experienced this and know the reason it happens and what I can do to stop it happening.
I have no viruses or spyware.
