I managed to get my XBox 360 to work using my DSL modem, turns out I needed to redirect traffic to it directly. Easy enough but as with the typical NZ DSL modem advanced settings are hard to find. I got a firmware update for it and they all showed up.
So yeah, got my silver membership for free, with one month on Gold. The concept behind Live is really really innovative. Being able to trial games by downloading demo's from the marketplace for FREE is pretty damn good, lets you trial a game before you buy. There are also heaps of arcade game which are pretty neato.
Anyone else use XBox live? Anyone want to gimme their player id's so we can hook up on Live some time?
