finally an orchestral tune to demo!

It's a super-arrange of a 3-channel tune I made for an MSX-shooter last year (Gradius-style). Only 16 midi-channels alltogether, things could be better, but my laptop doesn't like things like this.
Alltogether I made this tune on my laptop while staying at relatives. And it's 100% tracked!
Oh, and it's somewhat JohnWilliams'esque on purpose. :P

Hence, my next PC will be an AMD X2 with 4GB RAM.. ^_^

It's good stuff but it sounds more like er, something out of Soul Calibur than Gradius.

I'm talking gradius 1 and 2, not gradius 5 .. I'm talking 1987 orso. Try an MSX emulator and find Konami's 'Nemesis'. :P

I was thinking of Gradius 1 to 3 as a matter of fact, that's where the good music is at imo.

hm.. well, in any case, I don't know Soul Caliber, I'm no gamer like that. :P Perhaps I'll add a link to the original 3-channel version as well tomorrow..

Very nice composition. Brass sounds a lil synthetic. Cimbals and bells maybe too much in the foreground. The Mix sounds too bright for me, maybe needs a little more pressure in darker areas 800 Hz to 80 Hz.

My confidence is completely boosted... When I wrote that Tangelo Overture the first month I was here I was expecting to hear Mozzart-like amazing things out of you... Instead... I am treated to something as instantly forgettable as My overture was.

I'm far more confident in my own music talent now... Not putting you down, This sounds great. Just not the genius I was expecting from you...

It is very vibrant, but it does lack soul. Its all arangement and little substance. Tho, I'm sure you agree with that and are well aware of it.
