WinAmp Library Cursor

Just a quick question. I'm using Winamp to play my library of wavs/mp3s etc. One thing that Media Player did that WinAmp doesn't is as it plays through the libary it updates the cursor position in the main libary so you can see what track you are on. Winamp doesn't do this and it's annoying. Perhaps it's in the options but I can't see it. Any ideas? I'm not really into making playlists either.

Oh I ditched Media PLayer 11 because even though it could play oggs, it wouldn't add them to the library! I would say "gay or what" but that sort of phrase isn't PC anymore...

I havent noticed this bug, I just knock up a playlist of everything :)

So if I make a playlist of everything, I can start from any point and it will show a cusor moving down it?

nah still doesn't have a cursor unless I doing something wrong. sigh.

Mine does...? The blue (last selected)) highlight stays the same but the current playing file is visible in shite rather than yellow.

I agree, even this isn't the best way to do it :)

Use JetAudio instead, or VLC-Player.
They don't fill your PC with bloated junk as Winamp does !

At 1.2MB, there's no room for 'bloated junk'. Anything extra you install is your own problem.

I want winamp to go back to its roots of a small, quick player. it's getting chunky now....

and it's got no DAMN CURSOR!

Winamp Lite is fairly good as a small player.

Yeah I don't need anything fancy, just a list of tracks in the library (inc. oggs) and to be able to sort by path/filename (each cd is in an album folder) and to have a cursor to show me which one is playing, that's all ...sigh

It's too wide for me on 800x600. I now have to use the horizontal scrollbar to read your many posts.
