Blitzer's Video in Film Festival

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Blitzer's Video in Film Festival

As he seems to be too modest to post about it himself, I want to let you all know that Skitchy's 'Lethargy My Friend' video (http://www.blitzbasic.com/Community/posts.php?topic=56424) is being shown as part of the Institute of Contemporary Arts London's 'onedotzero' film festival. If you happen to be in London you can catch it tomorrow (well, today - Sunday) at 4pm, or I think next Saturday at 2pm. Well done that man!

Well done indeed, it's an awesome video.

BIG TIME APPLAUSE from this side of the pond...

Uh-oh, my 'secret' is out ;)

At this point I should probably mention that the video is also being played on MTV in the UK and Europe.

I didn't post about it before because I thought it might seem 'boastful', but now the cat is out of the proverbial...

This is bloody good. You aren't influenced by Damon Albarn/Gorillaz at all, then? ;)

Got any more?

Well done! :)

Indeed there is more - this song is taken from a 19 track album due for (proper) release in the near future.

Ah, the inevitable Gorillaz reference. No actually, I was more 'influenced' by Dire Straits

and the multitude of other bands who had animated music videos when/before Damon Albarn was still making 'Brit Pop' with Blur.

That's not a pop at you GFK - its just that some people seem to actually think that before Gorillaz there was no Hip-Hop, Electronica, or any such thing as animation (especially in music videos). For somebody like me that can get really tedious.

Well done! Wish I'd seen this sooner, I'd have popped up to the ICA.

Good luck. Wacky ;o)
