Full-time Freelance
Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Full-time Freelance
Hello everyone,
Just wanted to let the community know that I'll be moving to full-time freelance 3d/2d work around July 1st (i'll be preparing work orders up until then), and I'm getting married July 29th, so if you're the prayin' type, edge me in there sometime :D I've got an updated pricing list for all the work I'll be doing, so if you need it drop me a line. TogaMario on AIM, or you can PM me.

Have a happy long marriage. First year is supposed to be the hardest..I reckon that's true an' all.
Going solo myself (well in a partnership) with web development, so I know how it feels. Good luck and keep us informed!
Great! The world needs more freelance artists. Or is that just me? Meh.. either way.
Congratulations ( x2 ) and thanks for the price list. I expect I'll be in touch before too long.
Thanks Hujiklo. I hear that too, but then, we have been dating for 7 years ... the first 3 were the most difficult, with the last year being par with the first 3, but we're all in the excitment now :)
Game Boy, good luck. I already got two colleges on my client list and several clients lined up for July's launch, so it's look optomistic. I hope yours goes as well, too.
No problem, Gabriel. And thank you :D
Now I've gotta choose what logo I want to use. I have it narrowed down to the two I liked the most. Which do you guys like? Cube-Rings or Move/Rotate/Scale?
http://www.togamario.com/pdf/togamario.pdfThanks!
First one looks more arty, second one looks like you sell CRM solutions.
The world needs more 3D moddelers that can do RPG stuff - especially animated monsters and people, etc.
Dooby-doo.
Cube Rings for me. Definitely looks more artsy, like Tim said.
Of the two, yeah the cube/ring is better.
Thanks for the response so far. Curious, for those who like #1, should I change the text to be easier on the eyes? Or leave as is?
@Puki - I'm gonna be including character and monsters in my work dealings, the general problem I come across is that people just don't have concept art or reference material a lot of the time, so the new rule of thumb is that I'll be doing concept art to accomodate the people who give long descriptions instead of example images, lol.
I would tweak the perspective on the cube a bit so it's less severe...
Got a new font comparison for the top one added. They're now 1A and 1B :) Thanks Grey, I'll see how it pans out.
Even thought the top font is more "normal" I like it more. Here's the thing though, when comparing the fonts to the logo, the top font is just a tad too bold/dark and the 1B font is a tad to thin/light. Something halfway might balance it better...
ooh something else. Is the centre of the cube right in the middle of the concentric circles (it doesn't look like it, and yes I am taking into account that the concentric circles have a central point over the the left anyway, it's this central pont I'm talking about). Try it and see if it's more "natural" OR try having the cube a bit further out so it intersects the circle omre .. maybe, but perhaps it should have a slightly differenet perspective then due to being shifted away from the vanishing point...?
:) I appreciate the thought Grey, but it's just a cube and some circles, lol. I'm not sure I want to be too specific with the logo, just simple shapes. The complex logo was my attempt at having purpose and meaning, lol, and it hasn't gone over well on any of the forums yet. So 1A is lookin' like the way to go.
Tyler,
Just as an FYI, a TM (trademark) stamp is the proper IP claim for a logo/company banner, not a (c) copyright mark.
Tyler: yeah sorry it was late and I was waffling.
You *can* legally put TM next to your logo but not the R for registered unless it actually is registered.
K, I'll have to put the copyright symbol separately on it somewhere though (to make sure they know that I do own the work they're looking at) but thank you :D I'll replace that with TM. The whole Register, Trade Mark, Copyright thing is confusing at times. Thanks again.
