The best Anti-virus product is here

I have recently upgraded AV to NOD32 - Previously I used Norton and McAfee.

I had read many times that it was considered the best.

As I have posted in an AV thread over at CW, I thought I'd share the info here.


NOD32 is the world leader of the Virus Bulletin 100% Awards having won more awards (38 of them) than any competing product.

NOD32 is also one of the smallest and fastest scanning anti-virus products. It only creates 2 processes on your computer they total around 22MB added together.

We use NOD32 at work. It doesn't seem significantly better than AVG.

Well, in honesty, when I tried it I didn't notice much of a speed increase with scanning.

It is certainly very light on resources.

One of the things about this AV product is it is meant to be updated far quicker, and more often, than competing products - since installing it has probably updated itself 2 or 3 times per day.

It certainly has had a lot of impressive reviews.

It came to my attention in PC Format magazine, they had talked highly of it, then for around the past 6 months NOD32 had been advertised in PC Format.

I wanted a 'light' (ie not Norton or McAfee) product for my games machine and tried AVG and quite liked it - but this is definetly a superior product.

PC Format. That's Future Publishing right? Oddly, I'm not terribly surprised.
