Civ 4/ The original XCOM

Yes he does. It's original title was UFO : Enemy Unknown. It was renamed to X-Com: Ufo Defense when it was released in the US.

However, I'm pretty sure

should be Rebelstar Raiders.

From the first list, I would have to choose Civ 2 as it's the only one I've ever played.

From the second list, I'd find it very hard to choose between Laser Squad and Rebelstar.

Alpha Centauri / Apocalypse.

Laser squad was great but XCom was better, it was the same + more. Terror of the deep was also great as it was the same but different. They were TOP games that engrossed me for a long time.

Out of the entire list, I've only played Civ 4.

I've not fully decided if I prefer Civ4 to Civ3. But it's certainly good enough to beat the others.

As for the other list, I prefer UFO:Enemy Unknown (despite the bugs).

Civ4 / Aplha Centauri close second.
UFO: Enemy Unknown / Apacalypse close second.

Out of that list I'm going to say the first X-Com. But I don't see Master of Orion 2 on there!

I think moo2 edges out xcom ( and civ 1 & 2 ), which I invested way too many hours of my life in..

But for the record, I'd have to say Alpha Centauri cos I think it's the only one I've played.

I really enjoyed apocalypse, Although it took me ages since i didnt realise you could investigate the crashed UFOs! (even though i'd played through UFO and UFO:TFTD).

I really want to play civ4 :D

The first time I played Xcom1 (Ufo:Enemy Unkown), I had put all the alien Alloys into one base, which promptly got attacked by the aliens. Doh

X-com was fun. Sad, that nothing made afterwards was as good as it.
