* Net Revenue: about US $60,000
* Downloads: 280,000 (from Download.com, but way over half those people were driven to download.com from our own site)

But not Blitz!

but surely interesting for a screensaver purveyor such as yourself?

Yeah but it's just little old me hacking way in a few spare hours, they had...

Team: 4 full time + 4 part time (2 programmers and 2 artists in the core team, with occasional submissions from a further 2 artists, and occasional support from 2 other programmers.)
Development Time: 4+1 calendar months (4 months main production, extra month for technical post production)
Platform: Windows
Development platforms & tools: Windows & Linux, Visual studio 2003, GCC, Alias Maya, Adobe Photoshop.

They had a great net revenue. Around 80%!

Released: March 3, 2005

Team: 4 full time + 4 part time (2 programmers and 2 artists in the core team, with occasional submissions from a further 2 artists, and occasional support from 2 other programmers.)

So the $60K should be didvided between 4+ ppl and have to cover one year and 3 months... I wouldn't call that from "rags to riches" story at least... that leaves what, something like $8000/dude/year?

I'm thinking this is just a cynical attempt to boost sales for a non Blitz application.

Moderators please delete this thread.

So there!

I'd say it is more like $12K per year, considering that half the people are part time.

That may be a comfortable income. A visit to their web site shows they are in the Czech Republic.

You might be right:

Here in Finland you get 705€ (875 $US) / month for doing nothing because that's the sum you get if you're unemployed and don't have any kind of additional insurance against unemployment...

Probably I must move to Finland...free money+beautiful girls...

Yeh, at least according to Continental (who accurately informs me that their product is the only thing sold in Australia that's even remotely Finish (yes, missing an n)), even the older women are still almost gorgeous =]

free money+beautiful girls

:) And just guess who pays for all these wonderful goverment safety nets? We, the working ppl... sometimes I wonder if it would be better to quit working and enjoy the freebies - that would leave more time to chase all the beautiful girls we have -- no wait, I'm married! Damn, too late... :P

Hello.

@Mustang: Find the front door and leave. It's pretty simple. :o)

Goodbye.
