Who's released something using BlitzPlay (Pro)?

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Who's released something using BlitzPlay (Pro)?

In this thread, Chroma asked what games have been released that use BlitzPlay Pro. I didn't know, so I thought I'd ask the Community At Large:

If you've used BlitzPlay (Lite or Pro) in a project of any kind (freeware/shareware/commercial), please mention it here. Think of it as a free plug for you. :o) How did you find it? Any headaches? Could/did you adjust it to suit your particular needs? Any support issues?

In short, I guess people want to know if it's worth the money (currently $US50 for Pro, $FREE for lite) compared to the various free options available these days (eg Kurix's excellent RakNet wrapper).

Over to you. :o)

I used it in Kick Shot Pool, though no one ever used the online play, and I don't think the matchmaking server is even running at the moment.

I found it very easy to implement, and it had everything I could possibly want.

No headaches. A few minor bugs on the way, but Surreal was very helpful, we talked a lot in IRC, and he fixed everything I found, and helped me fix things I was doing wrong. He even helped me get my matchmaking server set up right.

Yes, I found it very customizable, and I could use it just as I wanted to.

No support issues, because - as I said - Surreal was very helpful whenever I found anything that needed his attention, and he even helped when it was my fault.

Yes, it's well worth $50 in my opinion. You'd wanna make sure Surreal is still around before buying though, because I haven't seen him in aaaages ( to be fair, I ain't been on IRC for a month or more ) and I think he's got it set up for manual delivery after payment. So you'd want to make sure he's about before you ordered.

But yeah, he's a good guy who wrote good software and does a good job supporting it, and I'd be more than happy to recommend it.

We used it on a educational project for a Modern Arts museum. The game, where you could build your own exposition, runs on 12 computers with one computer for the supervisor.

On the whole the system worked pretty well and is stable enough for our purposes.

I used it for True-Vol and a few other things. It's a good lib.

I'm using the lite version for SRX, and it seems to work very well indeed, although I've yet to be able to test it with more than 2 machines linked up.
