Man swifty, where have you been? That's been around for ages, have you even played this awesome game? :)
Enay:
Oh I've know about Katamari Damacy since it came out, but I don't own an Xbox or a Playstation and rarely buy games for my Gamecube, or even the PC for that matter. If it's not something I'm positive I'll play for a week straight and love, I don't usually bother with it. Katamari would probably entertain me for a day at most, like Super Monkey Ball, which I only really bought for the multiplayer.
So this is the first time I've seen the intro. But I've seen the gameplay and heard this song before. In fact I downloaded all the songs from the game and was surprised that almost all of them are rather boring and crummy, unlike the great title track which by itself made me really want to try the game after I saw a funyn katamari video someone made with it.

I play super monkey ball target with a friend, when you get good at it, it's possible to score over 2000. Also the bowling is great.
btw,the intro's great: very monty python.

When I get to play it the only thing we play is battle. The races and bowling were impossible and the target I didn't think wasn't very fun.
I think the subgames on super monkey ball are pretty dull.
(except for the bowling)

What the heck was that I just watched?!?! :/
that's the funny thing about Monkey Ball. I found the battles to boring and the golf not advanced enough. The bowling is actually pretty good when you get past the fact that the swingometer is so damn fast. Anyway the target one looked boring at first but as you gain skill in it and play against someone else the tension is amazing - it's hilarious when you are neck and neck with a friend and you watch them be greedy and try to get the 300 pointer and they just gently roll over the top and down into the sea and you go HA! HA! LOSER , IN YOUR FACE etc.
I love the KD games,... I have all 3, and if you thought that intro was crazy you should see the PSP intro!
The music is one of the coolest things about the game once you get into it, so I was very pleased that the PSP has most of the songs from the first game in it, plus a few new ones.
The other awesome thing is the king and the way he "congratulates" you. If you get something like "hey! You didn't suck nearly as bad as I thought you would" Then you are doing great. It's similar to Super monkey ball only in the you roll a ball around, but they play quite a bit different. I got tired with Monkey ball fairly quick, but I can't seem to get enough of the KD series. The amazing thing is the sense of scale, and how gradual you build up. It's really cool to bump into something that you can't pick up, and then just a short while later you are picking it up because you have grown without even noticing. Items that start out a massively large background objects become small objects that you are picking up after playing for a while.

I would love to play these games, but I'm anti-console... So no Katamari for me I guess... I wish there would be version for PC though...
Gotta love the commercial too ...

Yeah, Monkey ball gets frustraring and annoying very quickly. And for me gets difficult just because of the stupid camera angles. Katamari Damacy is way more fun and much more non linear.
It's like pacman on acid. No dots to gobble, just everything in site.
> but I'm anti-console...
Ah well, it's only you that's missing out...
[edit] Nice advert :)
There's also another one

Got AIDS? Then just get rolled up into a Katamari.

The flying in Monkey Ball is hands down the best part. This thread has just made me realize what's wrong with the rest of the world.
