Reggie's cool, give him a break ;) He's definitely a more hardassed business type but Nintendo could use a little of that with all their fluffy game gurus.

I'm with Jeremy, Reggie puts a good face on Nintendo as a company. He was practically an internet legend from the moment he first appeared. His no nonsense delivery should serve Ninty well.

On the survey, I don't see how watching TV could be of much help to anyone. Especially in America where most kids are watching 'Date my Mom', or 'Yo Momma' on MTV.

I was flipping channels the other day and couldn't believe what I was seeing. Both of these shows are on right after school, prime time to mold impressionable minds. Whoever came up with these shows should be shot.

God, what happened to TV shows? I don't remember them being this stupid.

Aren't you only 17 or something? TV's been stupid most of your life! Back when I was a kid, one of the more stupid TV shows involved David Hasselhoff and a talking car. And that's bloody art by todays standards.

I blame reality TV (more like scripted, ty USA) being the culprit.....much, much cheaper to produce then a "real" show with, you know, "actors", but everyone without a mind buys into this reality crap anyway....I mean, at least the Europeans got reality TV right in my books.

I also like Reggie here, mainly with the way he just delivers his E3 speaches perfectly, compared to the crap that was Microsoft's conference (imo).

Be careful with it. Some jerks, such as the maker of Garry's mod, do not like BugMeNot and will perform a failed attempt at an IP ban to block you.

Also, I find that Google sometimes, mysteriously, gets me logged in to sites viewing content otherwise inaccessible to guests. I know that this happens in Expertsexchange (hmm... capitalize that 'e' or leave it be... nah, that should liven up this boring encyclopedia-ish post) and The Globe and Mail.

FlameDuck: Yeah, but I grew up watching the Dick Van Dyke Show and such since that's what my parents preferred to watch. What I remember may (the aforementioned) not be accurate to what was most popular at the time.

My TV is usually set to watch either a) anime (which is usually just on saturdays unless adult swim is showing some special or something, which I somehow accidentally miss anyway) or b) the History Channel. Other channels that got minor attention in the past half a year are TechTV (or what little that's left that was TechTV since G4 replaced everything with car shows and such), Discovery, TLC, and occasionally The Weather Channel if my connection is down and I want to get an idea of when a thunderstorm is going to end.

Stupid entertainment has its place... I am not ashamed to admit I never miss an episode of Flavor of Love!

You all gotta chill out on the TV thing. TV is not supposed to be mentally stimulating. TV is like drinking a bottle of Vodka... it isn't the smartest thing to do, but it can be fun sometimes.

Well George Peppard Died, and I think Mr. T got some kind of cancer (he's all better now tho').

It's kinda like retro gaming. They wheren't really all that good. They're just better than what we have now. Unless you have Showtime or HBO.

but that was an innocent kinda of stooopid, kids could watch without fear of mental twisting... this new stuff is debased stooopid... bad all 'round.

I'm 22, and I honestly learned more watching discovery and later TLC and HGTV and Food network and such thn I learned in all my public school'n.

It was discovery that gave me an 8th grade level math and science score in 3rd grade. by the time I was in 8th grade, discovery stopped showing good science shows.... and I never really learned anything new in school.... so my math knowledge isn't much beyond that...

honestly... Public school is more damaging to a kid than games and tv are.

I LOVED Soupy! The show was about as brain damaged as they come, but I still loved it. Benny Hill too.

But you know the end times are upon us when it can be even remotely argued that TV was better when the Dukes of Hazzard was on. (and the sad part is there is a case for it being true).

oh yeah... without a doubt there's still good stuff to catch... but it won't be on your mainstream networks channels...

pbs, tlc, good stuff... even hgtv sometimes is worth watching...

most of the braindead will be busy sucking in american idol, XXX reality foolishness, dog the bounty hunter or cops or some other debased crappola...

... or worse yet, listening to the fox news report.
