Man I forgot about Galaga in ASCII

Pretty clever! (I think). However, I'm still happy with my gamebase64 collection and WinVice :-)

Frodo on osx! :O)

I can always start up my real c64. Works just fine, love the load times =]

Hey that's really neat, if somewhat a bit pointless.
His next project should be a C64 emulator on Sega Game Gear.

I'd love to make a c64 emu in BlitzBasic

retro.hack: I not sure there would really be a point due to the already stonking good emus out there. Although I do ahve the C64 colour values somewhere ... Anyway better to focus on retro-style arcade platformers ;-)

Dont think the point is the others out there, just the experiance in making one, I myself would love to make an emulator in BB (like the ol' NES for instance), problem is, hard to learn how exactly to code an emulator if you dont already specialize in the subject.

Speaking of which, regarding Flash, was it possible to make such a thing before Adobe took over and updated the thing? I just find it a bit unnecessary to update to a public beta of a new flash version just to see this in action.

The Flash and Director teams were/are still working on their own with their projects without any influences of the Adobe takeover as these are projects which have been started before Adobe and MM went in bed. Beside of this Adobe also has no experience with these tools.

This might change for future versions but not for the current running projects. Also there hasn't been thrown in a lot of money or manpower into the teams. The income of each product covered it's costs also when it was MM only.

Then each flash update had some major improvements. For version 7 to 8 for example it was the implementation of the new video codec which changed the offered video content on websites a lot. You have much more flash-videos than realplayer crap nowadays. And some day there will also be 3d...

@Grey Alien : you're so right, of course :D
