I think he single-handedly unearthed just about every bug in Spore... and it was still hilarious!
(I would have killed to see that thing in action amongst other creatures, though... I would pay $200 for the game if they promised me that it came with nothing but Robin Williams's content!)
Err... to stay moderately on topic:
The interview with him afterwards is interesting... I never thought of Williams as someone who plays computer games, and it doesn't look like it's money talking, as he discusses two competing companies.
(I always thought he just played Golf all day :P).
hehe... I once met his stunt double (at least... he said he was a stunt double, he looked just like him...) in any case... he said they would sit around on the sets playing games like halo and such... So I knew he was a gamer... but I didn't expect he knew as much as he did, and he really handeled that well too.
That was awesome! He did crash it ... but that seemed to be the only bug. Maaaan ... damn celebrities are so entertaining!
I watched it, it was ok. Not really that funny. I think I'd rather have my 15 mins of life back.
Williams is a well known gamer. He even called his daughter Zelda.
pretty funny.
I guess you have to be a Robin Williams fan ...
go willie
heh...now they should Jim Carrey and Paris Hilton create their own creatures and see what they end up with....
what you mean in real life as in babies?
JA - I would rent "Robin Williams: Live on broadway" and give it a watch. It is potentially the funniest piece of film ever pressed to DVD and released.
I.... looked through a transcript of it... and there really isn't anything I can post here to give you an example.. Just rent it.
Here's a quote from it:
<censored> and <censored> so <censored>!
I always liked Ben Elton and Billy Conolly best, but as for american commediens Robin Williams is good.
Funny thing is, I thought it was going to be the younger Brit Pop/Rocking Robbie Williams, one of my sisters next door neighbours.

I've watched it 2 or 3 times ;)

Why would they have a filthy British pop person (I have no idea what he does, based on that picture I'd assume he was a bad chiropractor) play a game at an American trade show? O_o
Use your brain, man! It wouldn't make sense! Gotta pick someone that's been around long enough that the vast majority of a crowd is going to recognize, and I don't think British pop is popular in America.
Well I know who Robbie Williams is ... used to dig that Millenium song he did back in '99. He probably plays games too but ... the thread does say Robin Williams.
Heh, Everyone knows who Robbie Williams is outside of the US. I remember him complaining when he visited here once and couldn't get laid lol.
Just googled him and:
in 2002 EMI paid him $150,000,000 to make 4 albums for them
These days he's probably more famouse in Europe than the older robbie.

complaining when he visited here once and couldn't get laid lol
HAHA! That's funny stuff!
That was awesome! He did crash it ... but that seemed to be the only bug.
Kind of a show-stopper though, isn't it?
Doesn't really matter if the rest of the game is amazing, if you can't get to it. :-?
Well.... its not like they are just about to launch the game. It was one of those murphy's law things. The bug was there, he was all over the game, and he nailed it. They'll work those out as they test it more.
Honestly, I don't play games for longer than 10 min. anymore without saving if I remember. Everything, no matter how notoriously stable, crashes on my dad's system, cause he bloats it with all kinds of crap running in the bg and won't let me fix it. Like, he likes and uses weather bug.
Funny thing is, I thought it was going to be the younger Brit Pop/Rocking Robbie Williams, one of my sisters next door neighbours.
Nanoo Nanoo.
(Anyone remember that?)
heh...now they should Jim Carrey and Paris Hilton create their own creatures and see what they end up with...
Jim Carrey is even less funny than Robin Williams is, and I only watched House of Wax because somebody told me Paris Hilton got harpooned through the head at one point. (She did, as well).
Shazbat
Cheers

Cygnus. Mork and Mindy was a great show. It was also a spin off of happy days as odd as it sounds.
That was one of the few shows that just got better and better as it went on, new cast members just made it better and better... and when it finally got canceled... it had perhaps the best 2 part ending ever. to any show, in any genre.
Jim Carrey is even less funny than Robin Williams is
It may be just my humor, but I recon those two in a film would be hilarious. Me Myself and Robin. :/
Jim (doing his ace-ventura, arse-talk thing): "Hey, blah blah blah blah"
Robin: "I can clearly see I'm talking to an arse."
...Alright, perhaps I'm no script writer after all :)
Dampe:
I agree, but I don't think I ever saw the final episodes!
I used to watch it when it was on nick at nite.... I saw the entire series and those last episodes (I looked it up it was a 3 parter followed by the last episode) were amazing.
Were talking grand fantasy sci-fi humor with things blowing up left and right and Mork being ousted as an alien to the world.
stunning... if they are on DVD I'd buy it to watch again.
My favourite comedian is Barry Scott, he cracks me up every time.
i cant believe robbie williams won all those awards,
The Echo awards are based on sales of albums :http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ECHO
NOT the musical content of said albums.
unbelievable......
Tears in my eyes, great stuff. Thanks for that link.
Robin Williams should design games. Imagine what whacky and fun game he could come up with !!!
<signed> =] Robin's a legend. Trust him to crash the game =]

I'd just rather a feature-length DVD of him playing the completed version of Spore with his own commentary included while he plays it.
Maybe with a name like Robin Williams on it, it would sell... but the problem with Wierd and Wacky games is that they don't sell well... They are too easy to make and mess up with too much crazy humor and not enough fun gameplay.
