Cinemaware resurrected

The new www.cinemaware.com hasn't been around for long and they already have remakes/semisequels of Defender of the Crown available for modern systems and mobile phones and I think Wings is in progress!

What's more is that they offer a tonne (all?) of their old titles for free download. A good a time as any to replay It Came From the Desert for a millionth time =]

I remember having the Spectrum when King of Chicago came out - all of a sudden I no longer wanted a Spectrum, I wanted an Amiga or PC just to feast my eyes on the graphics. I had to wait years to get to play the game.

It Came From The Desert is by far their best game. Both of them. Linear, but somehow non linear too.
There was loads of cool things you could do that almost had nothing to do with the actual game. :)

Easily one of my fave games, and one that as a kid really scared with all the ants and stuff.

All I remember was too many disks and nice pictures but no gameplay...

Sure Cinemaware relaunched ages ago. It must be getting on for two years since the Defender of the Crown remake was released.

The classics were only made available for free this month though =]

I just played the 'classic' version of Defender of the Crown.

I guess some games are better off forgotten. :/

Wings was really good, but it got rediculously hard near the end (at least I think it was near the end, I never played it all the way through), but I did manage to survive that you, alone against seven opponents dogfight. Barely.

I liked Wings for it's story, but Knights of the sky for the Dogfights.

Wings was the only game of it's type I could get into. Knights of the Sky was just... boring =]

I'm just waiting for them to do a remake of It Came From The Desert. Then I'll be happy. Or when Spore comes out. Or Kingdom Hearts 2. Damn Aus release schedules.

Oh oh, or Final Fantasy 12. <ahem> Yes, well... uhh, carry on.
