KamiGames Logo - Crits?

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/KamiGames Logo - Crits?

This is my KamiGames logo.

Does it look pixelated, jagged?
Is it ideal for an intro to my game?
Out of 10 what do you rate it?
Is it good enough to be used on my website?

Can anyone do better? If you can and the price is right I can pay on tuesday.

here is a .png of the Kamikazekrow that Rob did for me.

I need to finalize things and get my KamiGames website sorted for the release of my game, so, any help would be appreciated.

Couple of suggestions. I like the logo, but I don't like the text. Two major problems with it, for me. Firstly, try an external bevel or pillow emboss instead of that internal bevel. Internal bevels are hard to get looking good. Secondly, try some non-primary colors. The yellow and orange are just too poster-paintish. You can stick with the colors, but vary the intensity, shade or something.

Secondly, the stroke ( outline ) on the Krow. It's too yellow. The glow around it is a very pale creamy yellow and the yellow outline doesn't match it. Have the outline match the glow, make it that nice creamy color instead.

Does it look pixelated, jagged?
Yeah, around the outer edges of the circle.

Is it ideal for an intro to my game?
The concept is, but, in my opinion, not as it stands

Is it good enough to be used on my website?
Conceptually yes.

I have problems with the colour scheme. The immediate impressions that it conveys to me are "brown, dirty, muddy, blurry". I like the Kamikazekrow character but the colour and shading style of Rob's original version is much better than the one in your logo, not just in regards to the style and colour but also in regards to the quality of the illustration.

I think you can drop the circle ...
just have the penguin and text ..

Looks good to me - not too posh which I always think is best for indie games.
