no more mingw installation instructions

There was a topic called About minGW that was ilusterating how to install minGW (addin bin to path, creating the environment variable, etc). It also had a link to the recomended MinGW version... but... after the last update of the comunity forums this information has been lost.
Has anybody this information?

Use the latest MinGW and put its bin directory in your PATH env. variable. As long as you don't rebuild Win32MaxGUI (because they have screwed that up pretty bad for the latest MinGW versions) you're fine.
