Nilium #2 Um, I can't imagine your system will mess up any time soon since it's just the 16bit DOS emulator (note: it is NOT the same as cmd).Just get it off a friend's PC.
FlameDuck #3 how can I get this file back without messing my system up Not to put too much of a point on it, but your system is already messed up. Like Noel says tho' its no big issue as the Virtual Dos Machine is next to useless.
Gabriel #4 Open a command prompt with Start>Run>CmdAt the command prompt, type sfc /scannowMake sure you have your Windows CD to hand so that it can replace any damaged files.
WendellM #5 In case that doesn't work, and you're needing the current XP Pro SP 2 version, check your email. :)
Ruz #6 cheers WendellM . appreciate that. yeah I did try sfc /scannow and it did replace some files( not ntvdm.exe) but I need to reinstall xp at some point soon anyway.
Ruz #7 actually its a really important file. could n't run pshop cs properly without it, my graphic tablet doesn't work etc .everything working now though
