DS carts- Too bloomin' small!

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/DS carts- Too bloomin' small!

I'd just like to announce my total peed-off-iness that i've lost *all* but two of my Nintendo DS game cartridges.

Does anyone else think the GBA's carts were a better size? My Mario 64 DS could be right in front of me now but I can't find it cuz its less than a square inch in size!

To think I paid an over-priced £30 on these games. Mario 64, Need for Speed (Yuck anyway!!!) King Kong (Also yuck!)

At least I found my Nintendogs. Yay. Now i can Yell at my Nintendo in frustration, and watch as the dog's think I'm calling them....

All thesse years of people wanting them smaller and now your compaining they're to small....

But I do agree I only have 3 cartridges so I can't loose to many but I have misplaced them but if I ever lost one theres no chance of by the by spottting it.

I never complained about em getting too small though ;) I liked my GBC games :-) hahaha

Haha, serves you right for not putting your games back into the box when you'd finished with them.

I hope someone comes along, stands on it by accident and smashes it into 24,000 million pieces. :)

Get a proper console.

I always put my games back in my nice little DS carrying case.

I like the smaller size, I can actually bring a shitload of them with me wherever I go, unlike my PSP which I actually have to be careful with (since they're a bitch to clean), and can only bring a max of 4 UMDs at once with its case.

Sorry to hear you own one of the worst DS games out there. ;P

Just really a matter of putting them back in some form of case as ENAY mentioned, I got........23 DS games here, haven't lost one yet. ;/

Yeah, no excuse really, especially since you can fit 12 games in one DS case too. 1 on top of the previous game, 4 at each side stacked up in 2s and 2 where the gameboy advance can be stored.

(a couple more if you remove the instruction manual)

> Get a proper console

You mean like an X-Box? GYAHAHAHAHA!

I always keep my DS games in the same case as my PSP games. Each case holds 3 UMD's with the exact amount needed for a ds cart left over.

Just buy a DS carrying case if you don't want to put them back in their boxes.

Hehe, the problem lay where I didn't have a case. I never got round to buying one. :) But agreed, Note to self: Put games back in cases.

What if you lose the case?

I got one of those memory card holders and put them all in there like a wallet works the charm.

Well, that's why I got a GBA SP case for all my GBA games, I'm hoping to combine some GBA SP and DS games in the same case, so that way I have games organized for both my Nintendo handhelds (yeah, I got a DS and GBA SP so I can play all Nintendo's handheld games from the late 80s to current day). Should be something to have all those consoles around here...

You could punch a hole through the middle of each cart, thread them onto a piece of string and wear them round your neck.

I bet you wouldn't lose any, then!

Well, we'll soon see how small they are once I get my DS safely here at home through Amazon. Should be interesting to see what the difference in size is from the GBA SP myself of those carts.

I got an EZFlashII cart so I could play my NES games. It doubles so I can grab images of my GB roms and use those, too. :-)

I've got a COOL idea. You know like those keys that beep when you whistle, so if you've lost them you can find them. Well the carts could listen for the DS and you could press a button on the DS that would send out a pulse and the carts would beep back. I realise this is impractical today, but in the future when we can have tiny batteries that last eons and build in wireless to everything, it will be cool.

you can get little sticky backings for the carts and then put them on a string... or a keychain.

personally I think both the DS and the PSP have crap for games right now.

I haven't played a single PSP game that I didn't think was average or below... and the DS has 2 games worth the effort, both of which have their own problems. Warioware = too short, mario 64 = port.

I'm not that happy with my GBA either... Although, there are many games I have yet to play for it, and there are plenty great quality games such as the metroids and a few RPGs....

Lately, I think many games suffer from a flase sense of innovation. Non-fun things that seem innovative and new on the surface but wind up being tiresome... I almost and some cases would, rather see the game take the old school route.

all the PSP games rely on the fact that they are mobile and have amazing hand held graphics, so they all skimp on the gameplay and shaft people on fun.

The DS games are almost forced to impliment some kind of touch function that is often slapped onto otherwise great games trashing them, and the games that put effort into the touch function end up being too much innovation and testing and not enough fun... With the exception of Wario Ware... which is like 4 hours worth of gameplay if you do EVERYTHING.

The consoles, and 99% of everything I saw from E3 this year were no different...

Wii aside.... Although, my worry is that the Wii will be more like a re-issue of the game cube than a whole new console, as apparently a good bit of the controlers work on the cube too... At least the Wii games looked fun.

The Ps3 games were a grand dissapointment, and the 360 was dead out of the gate anyway.

And the games that got the most hype were a joke... Heavenly Sword... or as I like to called God of War (Vagina Eddition) and gears of war, and other generic FPSs... oooOOOoo chainsaw gun... who cares.

the new Prey looked promising, but will surely end up confusing and lame due to poor level design...

Well.. enough of all that..

The DS carts are too small... considering how massive the DS is compared to it...
