Godbye!

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Godbye!

I have been a member of this community since the days of Blitzbasic.

I have always supported Blitz Research.
I have brought Blitzbasic, Blitz3D, Blitz+ and BlitzMax.

But I no longer wants to be a part of a community where the moderators act like children and delete completely harmless threads without saying why, just because they can.

I posted a harmless thread, it got deleted!
I ask why in another thread ,it got deleted!
I ask again, and again the thread got deleted whiteout saying why.

I send an email to the webmaster to ask why they deleted my threads, it got ignored.

So I no longer wants to be a part of a community where the moderators do not respect their customers .

Goodbye, you just lost a good customer.

P.S. This thread is certainly going to be deleted

You're acting like a child now by posting you don't wish to be part of the community.

Was your thread, harmless or not, in compliance with the site rules?

Anyway, you problably won't be able to answer if you left the community. If you do answer then you are simply being a glory boy by waiting to see what responses you get :) <--- notice smiley, ie. not a personal attack, just incase.

ouchies all around

Tri|Ga|De,

I know how you feel - and I have posted threads have also been deleted. There seems to have been a recent sharpening of the tolerance - which in a way is strangling the community.

I know a couple of people who are very long time Blitzer's (since the Amiga days in fact) who feel exactly the same way - they have just left, you just won't hear from them again - and that is very sad.

BRL don't seem to be too worried about it though. Their silence speaks volumes.

I hope you continue to develop and would encourage you to stay and fight for your 'freedom of speech'.

IPete2.

Can I have your account?

Good riddance?

Edit: For a vaguely more calculated response, I no longer want you to be a member of this community.

even more ouch :(

this is sounding familiar, sort of.

You'll probably get slaughtered for that post ;o) I agree some of the mods decisions are wacky. I just don't post here as much. I still hang about and help people though and get help. I tend to stay out of general discussion.

thats probably smart

I found it strange that a thread can contain text about michael jackson and his illegal habits, yet I posted about a charity thing and it got deleted?!? Oo

Go figure!

Dabz

that scares me

can i have your stuff?

can i have your stuff?

No you can't. I asked first. :)

Sorry, guys, he loves me more than all of you. He'll give his stuff to me.

Perhaps threads should be locked more often, so that people who post totally OT and flame-baiting threads see why the thread was locked and other learn from the mistake.

There would then be a visual example of the rules in this forum.

For example, I posted a thread yesterday which was deleted...
In retrospect, I can see why.
It was obvious flame-bait, and while it took a lot of typing to do, it wasn't really on topic. (Rather, it was about portable music players).

However, someone else is bound to eventually post a similar thread which will also get deleted, and Nobody Will Ever Learn.

For those that enjoy watching these threads, this one is also great:

Threads get deleleted form time to time, try not to get upset over it, it's not the end of the world.

Our moderating team is (gasp!) human, mistakes can be made, apologies if a topic of yours has been wrongly deleted.
