can you bear any more sub scenes... sorry people, but i just finished adding some more particle effects, and i got some pretty decent results... not exactly what i wanted, but close...

here's some telescopic view shots... like you would see through binoculars...







last one is of the sub closing from out of the fog...


it hasn't slowed down my system to a crawl... well, not yet anyways :)

what is that protruding from the side? looks like the sub is sitting on a big mound of something grey?

I know you were toying around with som rust but isnt a huge glob of crap a little over doing it? ;)

I think the side fat bits on your model are abit too big though?







you can see (especially on that last one) that the fat underside bit only just comes out of the water.

Prahaps your sub is just abit too high up on the water?

might be boom... she's riding a lil high in the water... plus the shot is foreshortened, effect of the telescopic view...

i'll take another look at it... meanwhile, here's two other shots, no telescope view, sub running normally ballasted...

I love sub games. Played them since silent service 2. :)

My fave so fav so far is Silent Hunter 1 (the pacific one). I have played most of the others, but I just prefer that one :)

the water looks too ultramarine .
makes it looks a bit dirty. how about a slightly more desaturated greeny look to it?

Your textures could be 4x the resolution you have now.
