Still trying to figure out how exactly the control scheme works ever since I saw the demo trailer of it in the E3 conference...

The new setting also confused me, was thinking, wtf was Nintendo smoking now?

You think that's weird? Take a look at SUPER PAPER MARIO!

Already have, but that's being released for GameCube so the control setup I can already picture in my head. ;/
(GameSpot has a vid of that btw)

Speakin of 2d-platforming, cant wait for my copy of New. Super Mario Bros to arrive unto my DS.

OT: Anoyone know why all .wmv's and this video appear as a scrambled mess on my media player? I've downloaded tons of codecs but no luck.

hmm doesn't look much of an improvement over Mario Sunshine, but maybe there's only so much you can do. It looks a bit annoying that the controller has a wire on it. Also I was wondering earlier today if after holding the controller for a while if you'll get indentations on your fingers as it doesn't look very ergonomic...

All the stuff I've read regarding the controller states that it's comfortable to hold, so I'd assume no indentations, also the fact that aiming with the controller was near "pixel-perfect" (stated an IGN editor playing Metroid Prime3 demo) is always a good sign also regarding its precision.

And Puki, no clue here, possibly an issue with your video player? The WMV format can be notorious sometimes for 3rd-party apps.

Btw, anyone else here added the new WarioWare to their wishlist? It appears to makes WarioWare:Twisted (the best version of the 3 handheld renditions out) look like childsplay in comparison in the fun-factor.
(rotating a system & touching is one thing, but using your full body? They should make the subtitle "Calorie burner" instead of "Smooth Moves", will be fun see'ing how far I can get until I cant breathe no more, especially in multi-player!)

Speaking of Mario Galaxy, did anyone catch the official release date of the Wii console? I tried preordering that tonight, but the guy behind the counter wasn't sure of what the release date was... Since this is E3 week, this is usually when most game companies reveal release dates, if I'm not mistaken...

That is a nice looking bit of Mario.

Mario seems to be a good way to showcase new controller ideas :)

Nintendo has only said Q4 2006. So it'll be here before Christmas. I'd bet on November.

It looks like it must be fun as hell since the chick in the clip seems to be having a blast!

Probably. =]

Ahh, okay, maybe exactly a year after the X360, I believe. Just better hope that Nintendo'll make that announcement at E3 this week.

On top of that, because of the true backwards compatibility to GameCube, I'm gonna venture that trading some XBox and PS1 games in may help, and maybe seeing what types of games would be best for the new console. At least having that backwards compatibility sounds better than the X360's "compatibility" to the original XBox, yeah right... Seems like Nintendo's got them beat in that category.
