Where is Square Root on Windows Calculator?

I just can't see it anywhere. I have scientific calculator selected but must be blind. Please help ...

It's not under the scientific mode since you can do n x^y 0.5.

selcet inv and then x^2

inv is the checkbox in top right corner

you can use inv to inverse sin and cos ect. also

Funny you ask this Grey, I had the same problem at work today, took me a while to work it out too, daft if you ask me, should be made clearer

This be the reason I keep my TI-83+ on my desk....those standard PC calculators are horrid.

What always irritates me about the calculator is that I close it after one computation, and then have to open it again because I wanted to do more calculations after all. OK it's my own fault but it always happens. ;)

Foppy: I have the opposite problem. I easily end up with a dozen calculators open in my taskbar after a while.

nope i have foppys problem. I accidentally allowed closing the calculator to become habit. Then i realize i need to use the computation i just finished for the next question in my homework. I hate doing pointless things twice.

I have xlsiors prob due to having a shortcut to calc button I keep pressing. It really ought to bring up the existing calc to the font, but it just loads another. Often I want to refer to the old figure so it's a pain.
