no cheating now... which game engine do these shots come from?

hint... it aint BlitzMax3D :0)

--Mike

When you say "no cheating" do you mean no reading the clear tag stamped in the top right corner telling us that they were made in FPS Creator?

If the answer wasn't staring me in the face, I'd say they could have been created in absolutely anything because they're incredibly mediocre screenshots. They show absolutely nothing of the engine, just a few very basic models with some pleasant textures.

hahahahaha... OOOOPS!!!!

oh well, this was an easy one... sorry 'bout dat...

Textures are pretty good though - I thought the first screeny was a photo at first.

Mike:

I have purchased FPS Creator, and I don't know where you got these screenshots.. Where did you find them? Are they in a new update or something for FPS Creator or did I just completely miss it?

Thanks,
Chad

not to make this a FPSC Showcase sub forum, or anything like that... but if you go to the FPSC forum on 'that other' board... and look for pro pack vol 1 venice... you can ask questions and stuff over there, i'm sure someone will help you out...

...Red..I like your posts buddy..always :))

I'm sure that level is from Day of Defeat 1.

LOL

I think TGC just released DBP 6.0... still with many bugs..

Yeah Beaker I would have to agree, looks like a low res texture day of defeat level to me.

I miss Day of Defeat, and The Old Days I used to play it during.

<sigh>

Mmm, let's see - is it the Ghoul Engine? Or, perhaps the Lithtech engine?

um, it says fps creator in the corner.
[edit] didnt read rest of thread

pics impressed me... I'm obviously easily impressed... or not ?

...

Have to agree ppl here, they don't look that special. If there is a whole game and it rocks it's different - but as far as "Venice back alley" scene / level / tech demo goes it's easy to do better looking one, even with Blitz3D.

Textures are bit smudgy (or .jpg packing was heavy) and geometry is too simple for my taste; lightmaps are blocky (low res) and lighting itself, well... just bad... too ambient and the "night" scene was totally horrible.

Scale (architure wise) looks OK and real like the composition of the buildings... just needs more true polygonal detail, better textures and a LOT better lighting.
