Dungeon Lords finally (after 1 yr) sold in the UK
Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Dungeon Lords finally (after 1 yr) sold in the UK
http://www.dungeonlords.com/http://www.dungeonlordsgame.com/main.phpI found Dungeon Lords on sale in 'Game' today - I couldn't find it on sale anywhere else that sells computer games.
This game is an odd one - I first played the demo of it a year ago. It has been on sale for a year, but not available in the UK until now.
It is certainly no Oblivion beater - but it is a welcome addition to my RPG collection.
Ps, the UK is behind - the release is 1.3 but the game was patched to 1.4 a month ago.
DL has received nothing but negative remarks. I bought it when it was released and it was VERY buggy. There were tons of things left out that were referenced in the manual. PC Gamer mentioned in last month's issue that they are releasing a "collector's edition" that contains all the missing things from the original version, and complained about the fact that they are charging money (for the CE) for things that should have been included in the original version.
For those reasons alone, DL is bargain bin fodder.
Is this the game from the guy who created the Wizardry series? If so, I read a number of bad reviews too. A shame, because Wizardry were creative, well-designed, fun games. I wasted many a long night playing Crusaders of the Dark Savant.
Yeh, it is from that "DW Bradley" guy.
I bought it today - it is okay - I knew what to expect from the demo.
My understanding was that patch 1.40 is the Collector's edition enhancements. I downloaded it today too.
The game is okay - I've played worse.
oh yeah... I saw a review of this.
its every other dungeon crawler, without all the extra stuff, like a real story, or towns, or creativity.
just junky all around boring repeatative nothingness. YAY!
Still, there is a lot of unprotected media to rape and pillage.
I'll bet there's no bacon though.
sorry, only cheese... :(
I got bored of playing it - went back to doing my own RPG.
