Hi all,

What do you think about "JOLT3D" game engine?
http://jolt-3d.sourceforge.net/

Thanks in advance

:)

Based on the shots on that site, I think you could make something better looking in DarkBasic Classic than Jolt3D.

I have to say that if I'd just looked at the site instead of the screenshots, I would feel better. I'll grab the source and take a look at it later, since the guy is a programmer, so neither screenshots nor website are too likely to look good what with the minimalistic art skills the most programmers probably have. Who knows, could be a beautiful rose behind all the hideous, ugly, god-awful content of the site.

Oh come on, quit being so nice. The site has a flash logo with lightning, animated ad buttons, a lava background, hell raiser dvd covers, and screenshots that look like my six-year-old drew them with her crayons, and the one shot with the nancy-kerrigan-toothed-alien looks oddly like billboarded sprites as opposed to a 3d model.

This is a site designed by the ghosts of Picaso and Salvador Dali while they were hopped up on goofballs.

:)

Website is horrible, but the features list seems pretty good IMO (should note: I don't know a lot about 3D engines)

Stay away ... stay far away!

This is the only comment I got on the internet

Is this reliable?

Looks like it was written by someone around here- if so, pretty good. if not, pretty plain.

no

Well... after looking @ the demo, must admin the author isn't an artist, however the engine has many functions integrated well...should worth a try.

He noted that he is not a artist. Jolt3D is pretty good though, Its comming along nicely.
