graphics cards

Hi,

Is there anyway to tell if a user's graphics card is dedicated or uses shared memory? I know that you can find out what modes are available, but i can't see anything about this in the docs.

I'm using Windows XP and Blitzmax 1.16.

None within BM.
BM does not even feature functionality to get the remaining, free VRAM.

Rats, would it be possible to get the data externally then? and how would i go about doing so?
