anyone remember this? i dug it up earlier and its still pretty cool specially the visual effects (eg you can only see what your player can see, everything else is "shadowed" out)
I always wondered how they managed to do those ultra-fast shadow techniques..
Bought the game, but didn't play it much.
I brought this game a while ago, and didnt play it much ethier. It was a fun game tho, shame I cant remember much about it. cost me £2.50 and I sold it a couple of weeks later for $5.00.
well afaik its just like getting the angle of the player to each "wall" and projecting the shadow mesh a pretty simple method.
Looks cool, don't remember it thouhg. Maybe I'm still too N00bish in these forums.
so it used a 3D technique? well, then it makes more sense.. I just thought it was a 2D game. I guess the 3D-as-2D fooled me good back then :D
Diablo, any chance you can cut down your sig? :o)
Yer I guess. Its A bit big now - I should work on a web site or something.
Edit: Any better now?
Great game, loved it.
In the Nsprite2 demo it has an example of 2D iso shadows
didn't really like nox.. I still have it... just didn't really like it... got about 10 hours in and decided... why am I playing this... the story blows, it is steriotypical fantasy of the worst kind and I have been fighting zombie after zombie for the last 5 hours...
so I stopped playing it.
in retrospect, I remember it in great detail. I might play it again for that reason.
I just started playing Odium again for the same reason... I only played it for about 7 hours and remember just about every detail of the game...
