Tests you current system configuration to see if your system is powerful enough to run the latest PC games (for the lazy people in us all).
I heard mix reactions about this though...not sure how accurate it is.

Cool.

Games are getting absurd though. I was in Target today and I still have a $40 gift card and I saw a game I liked for $29.99 called Shattered Union . Unfortunately, I do not have a card capable of the version of shaders it uses.

Most games have fallbacks for that, Kuron.

Not sure about Shattered Union -- no idea what that even is -- but was the shader bit in the minimum requirements?

Minimum System Requirements
Pentium III 800 (or equivalent AMD)
128MB RAM
128MB Video Card that supports Vertex and Pixel Shading of 1.4 or higher
Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP operating system with lastest updates
DirectX 9.0b (9.0c suggested)

Recommended System Requirements
Intel P4 1.8GHz or AMD Athlon XP 1800+
256MB RAM
128MB video card
Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP operating system with lastest updates
DirectX 9.0b (9.0c suggested)

My only 128MB card is an FX 5200 and it completely crawls on ANYTHING 3D. If it sees anything with shaders, it jumps out of the pc and hides in in the closet.

Heck, my fastest processor is only a 1.2GHz Athlon

Really ticked me off, as it is extremely rare that I see a new game that I like.
