I'll make another probably, unless just the width needs cropping because the height is important to fit the whole UFO logo in.

Grey, how about giving us some banners in "standard" sizes, like 468x60, 88x31, etc?

who says they are standard? I believe you, I just wondered where that's defined? I'll look into it ...

468x60 has been a standard size for banners for years and 88x31 has been a standard size for buttons for years.

Although I will have a links page, I will also have random banners & buttons on other pages, oddball sized banners/buttons will screw up the layout.

uh so that's like everyone then. No seriously, anyone with half decent traffic is what I want, plus more links is good for page ranks plus I'm doing them a favour as they do me a a favour so it's all OK :-)

And a side-effect of that is that many adblockers will simply block any image 468x60 pixels in size...

OK I made some standard sizes. I don't like the button one much really, it's hard to fit all my logo stuff on it.

I have 20/200 vision and I can see it fine without my glasses. You did a good job ;c)


Sounds like some people need to learn how to write an adblocker. I haven't run into that, I use the adblocker for Firefox and Shane Monroe's OperaAdFilter for Opera. Banner Exchange scripts usually get blocked, but not individual images used as links.

Well the 88x31 was Netscapes fault. That was the size of their "Netscape Now" button, and I suppose most people just made theirs the same size so the buttons would fit nicely on one page.

I don't know where the larger banners came from.
