Anyone got any cool particles?

Hiya, I'm on the lookout for any cool particles/explosions saved as png for use with BlitzMax. It would be really cool if anyone has got any that they would donate royalty free because I might use them in a commericial game.

But really I'm just interested to see how people have done them, and if anyones got any lush code, then even better :-)

Hi Grey Alien, follow this link and try out BinaryMoons great ExGen. It can export to .png I think and that way you can play with your own particles and create a ton of different looks.

My main problem is I really don't undersand how to make pngs with decent layers etc in Gimp. I can make a basic anti-aliased circle but that's about it.

A couple of months ago Banshee created and posted some animations of free explosions to the forums.

yeah for "personal resons" and I think marriage to some guy was on the cards. I think as she ruled out being pregnant (I think). Who knows what to believe on these forums?
