Vertice weighting

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Vertice weighting

To my knowledge blitz does not allow vertice blending on a model, allowing a vertice to be connected to more than one bone, but i tried my latest character model in blitz, and it seems to be utilising the vertice weighting.

Does blitz now allow this?

Cheers

Steve

Yes.

Yes. As many bones as you want, but only the four biggest weights will be used. So no point going beyond four, not that I can imagine you're generally going to want to.

Hey thats great. Thanks gyts for the replies

more = slower as well, as it isn't hardware blending.

Ah, "yertari" must be making animated models for me.

I bet they are fantasy/RPG ones.

Hurray for people cleverer than me.

Hi Puki,

Yep.. we have a rather special fantasy pack coming out shortly, contaning all the stuff we usually put in, with the addition of 3 animated fantasy characters. Each pack from now on will contain animated charaters. Whats more... they all contain motion captured animations, for very fluid realism

What type of Fantasy characters would you like to see?

I would love to see the Nature pack finished :)

Fantasy characters with motion captured animation, huh? Cool. I think Puki's just fainted! :P

you can get away with 3 influences per bone.

Yeh, all this tech talk is of no interest to me.

I expect those charcters next week.

I like the bit where he says 'Each pack from now on will contain animated charaters'. Basically, in a nutshell, I'm going to be stiffed into buying every pack just to get the characters.

"yertari" is not as dumb as he seems - according to "ENAY" :).
