... all those $NTUninstall*.* files in my WIndows directory safely... just delete em?

hmm, I had wondered that, I think they are the uninstalls for the MS Updates...

If you don't want to roll back to older version, or remove a single patch, you can delete it safely, however you need to remove the uninstall entries in Add and Remove Programs group if you want it looks cleaner.

They get compressed by Windows anyway, so they take up as little space as possible.

Hard drives are cheap these days, if your're looking for more space :) 250GB drives are currently the £-per-GB sweet spot (Maxtor DiamondMax 10 less than £60).

its not the space... the machine seems to be taking a lot longer to do a few things.. especially on the net... takes a while before it goes to another site after the url has been clicked... but once in the site, it runs pretty well...

suspected spyware or something... but none found...

might be my isp... maybe...

Can't you just back 'em up to CD/DVD and then delete 'em, to be on the safe side?

They're Microsoft Windows updates. Leave them alone.
