gotham racing tv commercials

Is it only me or do they mix ingame scenes and real video in the ads for the new gotham racing for the xbox360?
I've watched this tv commercial now several times and I really think some of the scenes are filmed IRL and are not rendered.
Ok ,maybe they could say "we mix this to show how real the rendered parts look", but basicly this suggests "this is how the game looks" to the consumers. Using Video sequences is even less honest than using prerendered sequences IMHO.
Is it EA or some other big corp. thats publishing it? if so, I wouldn't be shocked if what you say is true.
New? It's been on here for ages, and yeah, its a mixture.
The ad was not there to trick you, only to say that the line between reality and the game is a blur.
I think it's published by microsoft. Cygnus - Well pretty new since the Xbox360 is also still new IMHO. Although I agree, the line between reality and game is pretty small in that game, consumers won't realize this and some may think the game will look THAT real.
Original Gothom racing was crap. It sits on my XBox HDD, that area of the HDD hasn't been accessed in forever. No one likes to play it, even when it was originally released it was junk.
I thought the original PGR was great. I didn't get around to buying the sequels, but I thought it made a nice change from GT3.
jfk,
I think the point is that you are unsure which is which, because the Xbox 360 graphics are 'that' good you can't really tell. I think that says a lot for the game's graphics myself. I have to admit it - I too have looked at it again and again and can't really tell - but I think its all in game.
It would be interesting to find out the truth though.
IPete2.
lol
Not having seen the advert myself, I can confirm that the in-game graphics of PGR3 are fairly jaw-droppingly realistic. In-car view is amazing.
