Mr. Jeppe Nielsen: TreeGen with B3D 1.96?

Hi Mr. Jeppe Nielsen,

Could TreeGen be compiled with Blitz3D 1.96?
I still could not run it on my laptop.
(As Blitz3D 1.96 seems to be most stable on all pc
With the new version of Decorator, the laptop could
run them now.
The title of my previous post (tree generator)
may be a bit misleading.)

I can't help but wonder what's wrong with government leaders all around the world. Kind of sad that officials with their nations' futures at stake can't get along as well as a forum full of Blitz coders from around the world. <g>

Sorry again for the politics (and I'm sure there are some serious reasons that make this sort of "real world" cooperation impossible... yadda, yadda).

But, I still get MAV! Very upset.
However, I find the problems -
It is related to code page of Windows.

I run the examples again, debug stops in
loadtexture command in "TreeGen_include.bb"
Then, I trace back to this statement.

Const tree_tempimagefilename$="TreeTempImage_!#? &"

Some sybmols at the end could not be realized by
Windows! (language specific)

I rename above as follows:
Const tree_tempimagefilename$="TreeTempImage_temp"
Then, all of your examples work!
I try to set the code page in Windows Xp to French
(My code page is different from yours) and reboot pc.
Then, I could run TreeGen successfully, but some app.
displays french chars.

Would you mind to change

Const tree_tempimagefilename$="TreeTempImage_x" 

where x stands for any english letter(s)
and re-compile TreeGen???

(If so, all Blitz users with different code page
could run your tools without problems.
Just one more step to success.)

I have changed the temp filename to what you used:

Const tree_tempimagefilename$="TreeTempImage_temp"

in TreeGen Source???
I try to download the new version with
http://www.gameart.dk/treegen/TreeGenSetup.exe

It seems that filesize of "TreeGenSetup.exe"
and "TreeGen.exe" same as MAV ones. Certainly
I got MAV again.

Did I use the wrong download link???

I made a mistake in which files the installer should pack. It packed the old ones :-)

It works! It Works!!!
Thanks a lot.
Each time I double-click the TreeGen and display MAV,
I could not imagine when the users said that this program is excellent.
Now, I could see many trees and even forest on my pc.
Great Tool!!! Thank you for your patience and hardwork.
