The Ship Online website

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/The Ship Online website

I have just completed stage one of building this website:

http://www.theshiponline.com

thought some people here might be interested in the game. (Beta signup is available).

Nice website. The game sounds very interesting. Great artwork, too. :)

oh ive heard good things about this game, the site looks well good! well done!

Very nice. I'd be straight in that pool. Nice website as well.

That sounds like a pretty cool premise!
I think it would help to hint at other details that occur further into the game as well, though.

as they say in Quake3, Impressive!

Wow that looks lovely - web site is very nice too - clever chap!

I might investigate this a little further. Thanks for letting us know.

IPete2.

thanks :)

The game does look pretty decent, and so long as people understand that it isn't quake, I'm sure it will be fun too.

shame its not done in Blitz - but nice all the same

I remember reading about this in a PC mag a while back. I think it may have been talking about a mod for the original HL?

Looks like they've got the Steam distribution deal then. Looking forward to this, them being local lads. I say "local" - I've only been to Dalkieth once and was heckled by neds.

The "demo" version they've got is a mod for original HL but I gather it's more like a rough prototype of what the full Source-engined version is going to be.

yes, it was a mod for HL1, apparently quite popular too. They've bitten the bullet, licensed the Source engine and are producing a full, standalone version.

Forgot to say how nice the website was. Job's a good'un, Perturbatio. :)

I've just had a gmail from the testing department saying that beta testing for The Ship will begin within two weeks for a period of about a month, release date May 2006, $15 over Steam. Just thought people might be interested :)
