Swift systems commercial license - 20% off

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Swift systems commercial license - 20% off

Just wanted to let you know that I have temporarily reduced the price for a commercial license of my systems by 20%, to coincide with the release of my sprite system for BlitzMax.

Sale will run for a week or so.

See the BlitzMax forum for information on the sprite system.

Ah, car insurance payment must be nearing...? :)

SPAM! :)

AAHHAA!!! SSwift is trying one last desperate attempt at selling the shadow system before the "Blitz stencil shadow system" becomes available to everyone for free! Gotcha!

j/k ;)

Your systems kick a$$ sswift.

ok, so 20% off your cardiovascular systems.. how much would that be then?

So how's it coming along then .. any closer to a demo?

more seriously though sswift, how good would your GUI system be at creating a level editor with forms, fast & efficient sliders, labels, and so forth?

No actually, I just deicded to see if people would bite at the lower price point. I'm not hurting for cash too badly at the moment. :-)

If that was the case, I'd have to run this sale for the next two years. ;-)

My GUI system is designed for game interfaces. There's little in the way of "buttons and sliders". It mainly is a way to put 2D stuff on the screen like buttons and backgrounds, and animate them. But there's no actual button "code" in the system. Nor anyhting for a slider. This is because you probably would want to play sounds and stuff when you trigger those things, and who knows how you might want to animate them. It does however have code to tell you when the mouse has entered or exited a particular object, whether your click is over the object, and it has functions for creating fast bitmap text, and progress bars.

So for a level editor, no, not good for that. For a game menu, yes. Unless your level editor was a simple one where you wanted big colorful game like buttons and you didn't mind making your own slider and button code which is fairly simple to do. Labels wouldn't be so good for. You've got a font system, but you wouldn't be able to click in the middle of a field to insert text or move a cursor around. You'd be limited to stuff like player name entry and the like.

thanks for the fast response.
too bad I can't use it, because it looked like a good solution :)
