ok ok , where can I get an Oblivion Demo?
Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/ok ok , where can I get an Oblivion Demo?
The title says it all, I just wanna try it out, for a little bit. Actually a time limited demo would be great haha :-)
Any decent U.K. download sites where you don't have to be a bloody member?
It's is single player right? I don't want no crappy MMORPG full of teenagers, bots, and uh, what's the correct term these days, homosexuals (can I say that?). Actually that last is just a joke reference to the Gay Pride march that went on in WoW lol.
Puki said he bought two copies of the game at the store and would give one away to the first person who asked for it.

whut? do i detect some homophobia? please tell me i'm wrong!
Remember that means Puki Knows Where You Live.
PUKI: I'm asking you very nicely if I can have the other copy of Oblivion, that is if it's not some evil joke by Kuron.
Muk: Nah, it was a joke, like I said on the following line.
Um, I was picking on Puki just because he was so hyper about the game.
I don't think theres an Oblivion demo... You must have a friend that owns the game?
Woof, woof.
There is no Oblivion demo - we don't do demos for our software.
Woof, woof.
It seems that only indie developers know how to do demos, these days...
I think the issue is more that the Demo would be 2-2,5GB *ggg* And this would force them to make the game even more expensive to be able to offer that traffic ;-)
Oh, come on! Half-Life II demo was pretty big and today demos get bigger and bigger. Nothing is impossible - demo will attract more potential customers. Since I haven't played Morrowind I'm not going to buy this game right away (I've played The Arena and a demo of Daggerfall). It sounds like a great game, but I just want to see how it works on my machine.
Why not pick up morrowind.... should run you less than 20$ or even 10$ and it will run on nearly any PC nowadays...
If you like it... you'll love Oblivion... plain and simple.

Played morrowwind for about 2 hours, put it down, and never touched it again. Didnt like it at all, very bored.
Oblivian, I cant put down. Very enjoable, never experienced this with a game before, kind of a first for me.
Well even if you hate morrowind, youll love Oblivion, heh
I almost agree...While I didnt hate morrowind...it was pretty boring most of the time.
Oblivion is a far better game.
Sam
nah I just wanted to play a demo to see what all the fuss was about. No demo is crap. I've got broadband and would have left it downloading for hours, I don't care. Oh well, the universe is telling me to get moew work done, otherwise there'd be a demo available.
You can pick up a copy of morrowind for 3quid now with free delivery

It's more, if you liked Daggerfall, you'll enjoy Oblivion, and there's a chance you find Morrowind boring.
I had the original daggerfall, it was ok, didn't play it for too long, was kinda into FPS games at the time and not sure I grooved to the open endedness plus it was a buggy and slow.
I do have a "backup" of morrowind lying around but I've never installed it. Should I?
I hated Morrowind but I've just started playing Obvlivion and it's a LOT better. Very enjoyable so far.
I haven't got time to fart around with a crappy game. I did really enjoy Arx Fatalis. Of course I've played plenty of non-3D RPGs, I'd include Neverwinter in that too as it's not really any camera angle 3D.
It feels quite like Arx Fatalis.. I played that game right before Oblivion came out, and Im left with some of the same feeling in the dungeons.
However, a demo of this large game (open ended) would have to include all the original contents and wouldn't be very practical.
I see, well Arx Fatalis was, good in fact I never quite finished it as something else came along, I will do one day. I was intrigued with the baking bread and cooking fishes like in the old Ultima games.
