THumbnail viewer with .DDS Support

Just wondering if anyone had any recommendations.

I've used acdsee for many years, but just recently started working with next gen tech which includes .dds compressed textures.

I can view DDS files in XP thumbnails thanks to an nvidia plugin. I can also load them in photoshop, what I really want is an alternative to acdsee that catalogues my images, lets me view them quickly, and do quick comparrisons between similar images with the flick of the mouse wheel.

I use IrfanView, it handles DDS just fine and its free.

Yup. Irfanview here too. Best by far.

Yep, Irfanview is great, it's only weak point is that it doesn't handle alpha properly (this wont matter if your only using it to view images though).

I'm using XnView which does a great job

thanks guys I tried infranview, it's not as easy to navigate and doesn't display extra information like pixel size and bit depth with the thumbnails, but it does work with .DDS after you install the extra plugin pack :)

Going to try Xnview see what thats like too.

I use Xnview, although rarely since I usually just have Photoshop open 24/7.

Just tried Xnview, it's a lot like acdsee before they bloated it with a suite of tools most graphics people would rather do without. Has configurable thumbnail rollover info with size and bit info. Does a good job with .DDS too :)
