I've got this game now. My collectors ed. is on the way, but I downloaded it because I couldn't wait. Didn't see any harm in that since I already paid for it :D

Anyhow, the graphics is great, but its the gameplay that keeps you playing :)

Yeah... the amazing thing about the game is that it has all the eye candy you want, but IT IS ACTUALLY A GREAT GAME! So many games use great graphics to hide the fact that the game is not very good. They hit it out of the park with this one.

That being said, I got the collectors edition, and was a lame... The 150 page book isn't that much fun, and the Septim Coin is kinda cheezy. I would say the "collectors edition" was more thought up by the marketing department than the game designers. I would recommend people get the regular version.

I got the collector's edition - actually, I think the coin is intriguing - almost looks like some medieval coin. The book thing is bent and gay though - not watched the DVD yet.

Should be fine. It still looks better than any other RPG with all the graphics options down low, and in all honesty, it may be the graphics that sell this game, but it's the gameplay that will keep you playing. I really don't enjoy many PC games any more, but this is extremely impressive.

I don't enjoy many games at all these days, so for me at least, Oblivion is quite refreshing. The last game I got excited about was Fable. And an unexpected hit for me was Jade Empire, a game that I almost didn't play due to its eastern themed story which doesn't appeal to me much despite loving Monkey Magic.

Seriously though, John told me that this game has set the standard, and that we (indies) were gonna find it hard to 'measure up' to this. He wasn't wrong...just looking at these screenies makes me want to buy the game now but from what I have read about the gameplay that is what this game is really all about - Avon you are indeed a lucky man!

I haven't bought a game for some time and when I did my graphics card could cope with everything turned up. So knowing things could look better if I had a quicker system would be a little annoying.

But I agree gameplay is vital.

well I wasn't disappointed. Had to whack the graphics down a bit but WOW. So much to do and so much fun doing it. At some points I just find myself catching the sun on the water and watching it go down until the stars appear. Lovely.

I got the collector's edition too. Not watched the DVD either. I've not played the previous games before so I'm new to the elder scrolls world. I'm not disappointed.
