Does anyone show google ads on their site?

Do you actually make any money from them and how many visitors do you really need to get to make any money from them?

Any positive or negative feedback would be very useful, thanks in advance.

I do. Since I had less than a 1000 visits to my site since I've put them on there - I'm not really making anything... It's something close to 2 bucks! ;-)
But things might change... I'm planning to update and attract more people... And in around 2 thousand years I'll be rich!

I haven't thought of that! That's genious! I'm locking myself in my fridge right now! Just somebody call some sort of delivery service to get me out and put me next to Walt Disney... All the bills will be paid in 2 thousand years.

does it make more money than say $10 in account for 2000 years?

I had google ads for about a day.... I clicked my own thing to see who it was linking to to make sure I could weed out links to things I didn't want..... they took it away from me...

I forget how much it was... it was a lot.. like 1 cent or more per click.... which is why they took it away from me for clicking my own link....

So don't do that... they will take it away from you

Well... I made an average of 75 cents a months... So in 2000 years I'll make 18000$.... Hmmm... Hmmmmmm... Well, maybe in future medical help will be free-for-all!
But I also know that it can get you some money if you attract enough people... I've seen an entry at knoxskorner.com where the dude complained that he only got 50$ a DAY from it... Holy crap! My hosting only costs 50$ a year!!! I wouldn't mind that! I don't plan to make a living off it, but if it pays for my hosting it will be enough... So - suit yourself... It's free to use...

I'm an admin on a hobby forum (not computer related at all) and we added google ads. Averaging out the amount its getting atm then it'll roughly bring in $800 a year which isn't to be sneezed at. At least it'll pay for the hosting :)

The site is growing at around 40-60 new members a month and we've a few plans to get a lot more active members so I expect that amount to grow over the next 6 months.

So with a bit of luck it'll pay for the hosting and Christmas present buying :)

Yeah, but 50 bucks a day makes it 1825$ a year which is more than I will make in 2 thousand years! ;-)

Ok, it's pretty obvious that I just forgot to put a zero since I've mentioned 18000$ made in two thousand years in one of my previous posts... Though my math is really bad (that's why I think I can't be a professional programmer) it's not THAT bad!

Yes I have them on cloverleafgames, they are okay but they don't make me rich. TBH they are not targetted enough and they only offer me CPC not CPM. I am switching to a professional outfit that offer lots of $$$$$

If I take last month as example, it ran slow, I made $205, that about 1800 clicks... $0.11 the click...
Well, I own 11 websites running googleads.
The best 1 bring $100.00 a month.
The lower about $1.0 a month.

Websites are: shopping carts, dating websites, pure advertising.... but no porn ^^ I am not sure if it s legal with googlead.

I have a friend of mine running it via a ragnarok server (that's a mmorpg game), basically he push the players to click on the 'pay per click system' once a day to ''pay the game server bill'' lol but trust me if I tell you it pays the server hosting and the vacation to Tahiti at the end of the year... :)
500 players constantly online who want the server to live, that's a lot of clicks in a day, I let you make the calcul.

If you know CEO or have a good idea how to use it, well you could live from it, I used to browse some forums about it, do a research on google and see, some people actually live from it!

what I can say about googleadd or any other pay per click? Well, it require a HUGE amount of work at the beginning unless you already have a good traffic, of course, but when it's running, well it genere money by itself, it doesn't require maintenance or anything like that, mine is running the past 4 months alone, I didn't work on it at all... that's the beauty of the thing.

Which brings up the question of whether or not it's really worth defacing your own website for a buck a month...

HRC: Great info thanks. GoogleAd do say ther should be no incentives on your site to get people to click the ads or they'll remove the service, so your friend could be on dodgy ground.
