Wanted-Blitz3d Screenshots

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Wanted-Blitz3d Screenshots

Hi all. I need some help convicing my friend to go with blitz3d for the creation of his new game. Him and a group of friends have started their own company, and they're considering using dark basic pro, game studio, or blitz. One of the things he personally doesn't like about blitz is he believes the graphics quality is not as great. What are some really impressive screenshots from a program or game? Also which 3d demos/etc impress you?

Thanks for any input

Nice work Pete. Love that motorway sim :o)

Thanks Ross

The M42 ATM was a project Mousey and I developed in 2002. In a few weeks when the new website is actually live I shall have some Flash 8 video of these projects in action - and a little later in the year I hope to have a live version of the ss Great Britain project working in a web browser.

Cool :o) Was it developed in blitz?

Yes all of those shown are Blitz 3D projects - believe it or not. Lol!

Nice Pete. Excellent work :D

I was actually coming back to this thread to post links to your tank game John :D

I would go with B3D if its their first game. Then decide after its done if it will work or they need to move to something else.

Blitz has alot of limits, but so does DBPro (syntax being one major one), and well if I was going with a C++ engine TV3D would beat anyone out there.. its almost as fast as blitz to code with and is insane powerful

Pete, I noticed a flaw in your driving simulator.
All of the vehicles are driving the wrong way... ... ... ... ... ... ... talk about dangerous ;)

BTW, It took me about a minute to realize that I could click on the small numbers below the main pic to see other pics. Maybe they should be a bit larger.

WolRon,

OMG! You're right - unless of course this simulator was designed for the UK - oh wait a minute it was! Lol!

Yeah they are a tad small - sorry about that - I may take this up with the designer and increase the size a little. The text below also needs sorting, it doesnt work well in some browsers - early days yet though.

What is really good about working on this Simulator - Mousey (who coded a lot of the M42ATM driver simulator) came to see me recently and he said as they drove up the M42 it suddenly struck them that the ATM was now up and running, and they were really driving along it! He said it was great to see the whole thing for real. We are both very proud of the project.

Thank you for all the input, Well i took a look at 3b pro, and well, i'll just start a quick new link on what I thought of it. Not very impressed.
