Firefox cookie oddity? Surely this isn't right

I have Firefox set up to ask me to accept each cookie while surfing the internet. So, generally I am pressing 'Deny' for most sites.

In this instance, after pressing 'Deny' - I decided I wanted to download a demo product - so I had to edit my cookie options and 'Allow' the site to set a cookie - Firefox happily obliged.

However, the cookie could not be set as Firefox had also remembered that I had previously blocked the cookie. So, after a lot of constantly trying the download, I went into my cookie options to find the 'blocked' version of it and deleted it.

Surely, if you set Firefox to allow a cookie it should override the blocked version of it? I mean what's the point of allowing a site to set a cookie if you have to manually edit the site from the blocked list?

Anyone agree - or have I missed some logic here?

However, it doesn't do it all the time - I just noted it did it previously and it has done it today when I went to http://site.magix.net/
