Is anyone using Outlook Express on a lan...
... Basically, I have four emails (Not all mine...lol), from a webhost... e.g.
sales@...
dabz@...
snugz@...
stella@...
Now, the problem I've got it that say, if I open the emails up in the morning, they all get downloaded to my computer, and I mean all of them, including all the ones that are not for me! Which means, that the others don't see them, and if there's a message for them, I've got to fanny on sending it over the network.
Then say, at dinner, someone else opens the emails, they end up with them all, and again, they've got to muck on sending the correct ones to the correct recipent...
It's getting to be a pain in the arse, as this means everyone can read everyone elses emails (And mark them as unread), so, is there a way I can send each individuals emails to their computer?

Outlook Express is considered by many to be the worst email program on the face of the Earth.
Have you looked at using a different one?
I'm using Mozilla Thunderbird at the moment, and it hasn't given me any grief so far.

Well, if there's 5 computers then you need 5 outlooks with their individual email configured for just their machine.
Or is this not what you need to happen?

I'm going to go through the lot tomorrow (Too late now), even the SMTP settings on the webhost, I've got a funny feeling they are getting redirected to the same root address (I never even considered the server up until about 5 mins ago)!

It sounds to me like they're just aliases for the same mailbox. You might want to look into the mailbox configuration, and/or get an IMAP box instead of a POP3 one.

It does sound like you've got 4 aliases set up for one POP account, so if your webhost allows more than one POP account (can't see why not), then thats the easiest thing to do. If not, OfficeMail will work a treat + the benefit of internal mail :)
You need to change your login in Account Config (or whatever it's called, I don't have outlook express here).
You will probably find you are logging in to the email account as 'blah' (as in blah.co.uk) but you need to be logging in as 'sales%blah' or 'sales@blah' with the specific password you set up for each mailbox.
Your host should really be the one you talk to about this problem.
Everyone else is right on the button about changing your email client. I find Thunderbird invaluable and its interface is similar in function to OE, making the transition quite painless. It will import all your settings from OE as well (it is a very easy install).
The upcoming Office 2007 would be worth a look if you want to spend some pennies. The new version of Outlook is pretty awesome. A bit bloated because of the built-in calendar and such, but it really is the Rolls Royce of email clients.

Outlook Express has "Indentities" just set up on for each different person and only have the correct email account in each Indentity. This works fine and is Easy.
