Installing drivers in linux?

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Installing drivers in linux?

I'm trying to install drivers for my speedtouch usb modem in SimplyMipis Linux.
The files are called,

KQD6P1.eni
and
KQD6P2.eni

But it has no read me or installation guide. Anyone know how i can go about it?

For wireless cards, people usually use a thing called ndiswrapper to install the drivers. (Since the manufacturers, being nitwits who do not realize how many things that aren't PCs use Linux, only support Windows).

I expect that you will probably need something like that...

I don't know what those .eni files are, nor where you found them?!

http://sourceforge.net/projects/speedtouch is where you need to go to find the correct (unsupported by Alcatel) drivers.

yeah i found that, I even managed to install the package, but still couldn't get them to work.

iit says run a bunch of things in the docs but there not to be found anyway. back on windows now having given up for the fifth time in a week.
