See you there.
Heh, I vote for a Blitzers invasion of the event.
Just so people know, this will run from 11th july to 14th - it will be after the World Cup.
Might be a nice summer outing - there's a beach there.
Let's make it a Blitzcon in Brighton - have-it.
not too far away, I'd better sign up!
I got a mate over there. Maybe I should!
Yeh, come on peeps - who wants to go?
Look at it this way - you get to go to the conference and we also get a Blitzers meet-up too.
Having said that - Brighton is nowhere near where I thought it was. Brighton is on the south-east coast of the UK - south of London and east of Porstmouth. I thought it was on the west coast of England and somewhere up in the middle of the country.

See, I thought that too, I thought it was near Petersborough (!!!!) until quite recently.
hmmm could be a possibility...
C'mon Aymes. You want to!
(Stil not sure I can make it myself since im in Bridport according to my callender, just the month before.)
Sounds like a good day, i'm in!
puki, you're thinking of blackpool. I used to make the same mistake years ago too.
Unsure as yet, but kinda hoping to get along to this, could be quite interesting.
Of course meeting up with people and consuming alcohol may well be part of the interest :)
If people can confirm attendance and if they are wanting to stay I'll see if I can get a corporate rate at a hotel.
Hello.
Puki, I hope you're saving your pocket money.
Actually, I think Tim and Jake should pay for us all. Hurrah!
Goodbye.
This might turn out to be quite an exciting adventure.
I bet there is food there too. I mean, they got all the industry speakers there - they must be feeding them. I'd bet there is going to be some private room somewhere in there that is absolutely full of buffet-type food for all the industry bods. We just need to find it and lesson it.
:(
I wish I had a magical portal to the UK!

I'll check with the other half if it's deemed acceptable; thanks for the offer.

splutter, cough cough.
:(
I wish I had a magical portal to the UK!
Actually I with I had a prtal to the U.S. for that game developers conference!
I'll also have to check with my gf. Would really like to go though!
I'd settle with a magical portal to brighton! That would make it easier :D
I live there!
Aymes- Bring the GF along :P Tracy might come, since If i go, i'll have to make a holiday of it. :P
I live there!
suppose you want a magic portal out of there, right?
Yeah we're thinking making it a short-break-away kinda thing.
Yeh, why don't we all book the whole 4 days there - hell, let's make it a week.
It will be the height of summer and there is a beach there and stuff.
I'll smooth-talk some of the industry people - "Molyneux" is normally an easy-touch and then we can dine out in the evening with them on their credit cards.
Right, that's that sorted.
suppose you want a magic portal out of there, right?
Erm no - just moved here - it's GREAT!
Well I might only go for a day and a night as the summer is pretty good in bridport.
Boiled Sweets: I was kidding :-) I have an artist friend who may be moving there soon and have known people that have lived there before, quite trendy is it?
The beach is actually a rather large collection of pebbles.
Bridport's (well West Bay) got both: one pebbles, the other sand.
why cant they hold these things in the middle of england...somewhere like...birmingham :D
seems more logical since then everyone has the same distance (more or less) to travel...
Why can't all events ever be in Bridport, except for like Earthquakes and stuff :-)
They should all be in Poole 'cause it's really quaint!
scuse my ignorance but are any parts of Poole "old" or is it all just industrial estates? :-p
Jake, you never been then? The largest natural harbour in the world, some of the most expensive moorings in the world, miles of sun-soaked beaches, an old-town and quay with buildings from the 15th century and the most expensive real-estate per square foot in the world. Yeah, it's just industrial estates!
lol, I was just winding. I went shopping there years ago, and have been across the harbour on the train many times, looks fantastic.
Hey, I'm negotiating to be able to go to some of the conference.
Yo! got permission from ground control. don't know which days I'll go yet.
