Hostile Seas

Well I've been working on this for about a year for Stormy Studios and it's nearing completion so I thought I would show it off. It's an arena combat style game where users pick their captains (team) and fight it out over islands to gain control and ports to repair ships and crew.

Looks good. What is the basic technique used for your water? I like the look of it.

The basic technique is the same exact technique everyone else is using. I use a 40x40 plane that is colored then move the vertices to appear like waves.

now that looks sharp!!!!

and the game idea sounds good too...

thanks mike I've decided to scrap my initial idea of droping each model island in peice by peice and now ive gone with using a single terrain for the entire map which consist of about 12 islands. Ill show some shots of those in awhile.
