It is possible to turn off Flash in Firefox. In other words I want to block annoying adverts that appear in Flash format after having blocked images loading from ad sites.

If you want to rid of flash completely, I guess could always slap on a "*.swf" filter tag in the Adblock extension.

I knew these progs would be just the job because of their non bloatware file sizes (48 and 177k)

That admuncher even blocks all the adverts you get in stuff like yahoo mail and hot mail.

Yeah, I'm just trying it at the mo. Seems to do the job well enough. it even blocks the crud adverts you get from msn. Sweet.
I'm also trying Ad Muncher. Although it blocks ads well enough, I find that it slowed down website loading 2x.
po, yeah, me too. Seems like some sites are more than 2x. I suppose it depends on the ad content. So you could say instead of saving bandwidth and time when going to a ad-heavy site, it's being counter productive.
