Getting spam after purchase

Well since I bought Blitzmax, I've been getting 2-5 emails daily about penis size, mortgage rates and other spam-like messages. The email address I used for share-it! (the money processing company blitz uses) was 100% spam free before the purchase, and now it's not.

Anyone else experience this?

Nope, I have used Shareit extensivly and have never come across this.

Back in the day I did get a lot spam etc because I was too bloody stupid and clicked on the odd banner or replied to the wrong emails, the account I use back then is still active and all me spam still goes there :)

I just get tons of Viagra (and other drugs) ones. I just don't need it man. My partner probably wishes you could get something with the opposite effect lol.

I got a load of dumb ones the other day about some girl in an Internet cafe who was coming to visit me. Different name every email ... yeah right!

Then the odd stock market report I'm never gonna use.

And occasionally the old class Nigerian orphan with lodas of money needs English bank acount to facilitate transfer etc.

Gawd. I even have ISP spam filters, fat lot of good they do.

I never get any of spam. Wonder why...

kronholm, i can confide that there is a 0% chance of you getting such spam emails from Blitzmax or Shareit. The reason is that reputable companies such as these, do not need to spam you with penis enlargements in order for to get your business. Therefore you must have got your recent spam from elsewhere.

I was making a joke that Noel doesn't get Penis Enlargement and Viagra spam cos he has no money and no willy so they don't target him. anyway this is false as spam *mostly* isn't targeted, which is why it's called Spam.

I doubt ShareIt would sell your email address to spammers or even themselves send spam.

yeah me too, I think there are just email harvesting bots out that that get them from whereever and then start using and sharing them!

Get a decent ISP, they'll block crap at before it gets to you.

Blueyonder does but it isn't perfect. It also blocks my t-mobile phone photos and still lets some spam through.

I shudder to think how much spam I'm really recieving.

I never got spam from BRL before, but I get spam when I buy other stuff..

Have a look in your webmail spam box, it'll be rammed!

I dotn have a spam box! xD - If I receive spam it goes to my inbox. Talk about hardships.. All I get are OEM letters and "enlargement" letters. Oh yeah, viagra too. Do they just assume everyone on the internet is a 50+ year old male? lol. I think the letters are coming from either here, or indiegamer, not sure. But if you click on my name, you can get my email address. Maybe we're being spidered?

I think all you guys who ARE getting viagra spam and who have girlfriends and can't quite work out why you're getting the spam ought to be asking whether your other half has your email address. Perhaps it ain't spam at all :o)

I read some funny blog about a guy who tried viagra out but totally regrets it as it made him realise how inadequate he is normally haha.
