had you going there puki. I played the original: Daggerfall some time ago.

Hope it plays well on your average moden rig. this, gothic 3 and Medieval total war 2 are the 3 games I am most interested in this year.

Hope it is better than DaggerFall, the only thing I remember falling was the player through the floor, thanks to some dodgy collision detection ;)

hehe yeah the original Daggerfall was actually quite a bad game - very immersive, but hugely bugged. The graphics where rapidly put to shame too as the 3D hardware revolution followed hot on it's footsteps.

Yeah I didn't finish it or anything and I think Quake2 turned up soon or somthing and I stopped playing it.

If the Radiant AI is as good as it looks this is going to be groudbreaking. The worlds of Daggerfall and Morrowind have always been vast and open-ended but always felt a bit lacking in life. 1000's of intelligent NPC's going about their business and the inclusion of physics will bring an amazing air of reality to the whole experience.

You wouldn't have been able to finish it GA - at least, not without patching it. The bugs where so bad that completing the game was impossible without updating the game. This was in the days before internet access was widespread, I only had a dialup connection myself back then.

If you ask me, there's no doubt Oblivion will be bug infested as well, all the Elder Scroll games have been too huge a task for their own good, but looking past those problems usually involve an awesome game with a crapload of stuff to do....
(least the Xbox systems "do" have the ability to download patches for games...although that is the lazy-way out for game devs)

My bro going to pre-order it here for PC so I wont have to run out to town to find any unsnatched copies the day it comes out, saves me time, and money. ;P

well it was supposed to be finished and launch with the 360 back in november. Was delayed to iron out bugs, looks like they also changed the lighting.

Lets hope they did a good job and it comes out good. Have certainly been waiting long enough. Last time I was this excited about a game was probably when Fable came out.

Hmm, I thought you were talking about an Amiga shareware title. I just had a look for any reference but all I could find was, OMG yes, it is.

Elder scrolls : Arena was the first game of the series, not Daggerfall.

Lets hope its better than Morrowind, Ill get it ...dont have alot of choice in RPGs these days :P

I want to see Dark messiah , but only becuase the source engines Physics sound cool/usefull in a RPG style game(not sure its 100% rpg)

But Oblivion supposedly Has good physics also.
